Covilhã Internacional Design Triennale

Design, as the discipline at the crossroads of the aesthetic, functional and technical dimensions of production, has the role of inventing new futures, always based on a reading of the past and an understanding of present conditions. In the case of the city and the region, Textile Design has a fundamental role to play, but the wider Design culture is also important for the quiet but decisive “revolution” that needs to take place in order to make this a territory for the future and for attracting people and visitors.

Textile Landscapes

“Textile Landscapes” is the provisional title of this edition, which aims to reflect the relationship between Design, with a special focus on Textiles, and the sustainability of the landscape, in its various aspects - environmental, social and economic.
